Contract / Temp to Perm / Permanent: Contract
We are searching for a Contracts/Procurement Manager for an assignment in Kabul, Afghanistan. This would be a one year assignment with a possibility of extension. This position offers an attractive overseas compensation package. We are looking for a person with 10+ years of experience.
Previous overseas experience is desirable.
The role of the Contracts/Procurement Manager is to administer the prime contract with the US government and subcontracts with various firms. The Contracts/Procurement Manager prepares, negotiates, and administers engineering services contracts and change order requests and prepares subcontractor agreements for technical services including but not limited to surveying, geotechnical studies and sustainable energy services. In addition, he/she will manage the purchasing of all supplies and materials to support the office and field staff. The Contracts/Procurement Manager shall also arrange for the rental of the Office and Housing Facilities, and obtaining all furnishings, utilities, and services for these facilities. Strong and effective communication and coordination will be key to ensuring efficient implementation of a high volume of work. The Contracts/Procurement Manager will have primary responsibility for ensuring program support coordination on a day-to-day basis.
