Piping Engineer
Contract or Direct
Requires: Working familiarity with mechanical/piping design codes including ASME, Section III (NB, NC< ND) B31.1 and other applicable codes. Demonstrated experience in Stress/Piping Analysis including load evaluation. Experience in piping engineering with specific experience in stress analysis software such as SuperPipe, PipeStress or Tpipe. Experience in Nuclear, Steel, Chemical or other heavy industry experience.
Provide pipe routings of piping systems. Analytical activities performing pipe stress calculations for thermal flexibility, dead weight, seismic, fatigue evaluation, safety/relief valve discharges and tank settlement. Evaluate overstressed piping systems and make recommendation of additional pipe supports and restraints, alternate routings and addition of expansion joints to solve stress problems.
