Contract / Temp to Perm / Permanent: Contract

Start Dates: Fall 2009 and Spring 2010

Hourly Rate: $70 – $110 per hour based on level of technical and management experience, 1099 contract, overtime and per diem available

Description: Immediate need in South, Central, and East USA for Technical Directors or Field Engineers. Openings are available for contract positions in Fall 2009 and Spring 2010. You will travel to power plants as needed during turbine service outages. A minimum of 5 years power generation experience with a major utility, OEM, or service provider is required. Experience with GE, Siemens / Westinghouse, or other OEM steam turbines is required.

Responsibilities include providing technical direction and/or project management in the execution of steam turbine/generator outages. You will provide overall technical direction, leadership, and accountability for all aspects of turbine/generator outages. Responsibilities will include project preplanning, schedule input, outage execution, outage report, and job closure. You will have to effectively manage the outage organization processes and procedures to ensure steam turbine/generator customers receive the highest quality services and outage execution goals are achieved. Must have steam turbine mechanical experience in supervision and/or technical direction of projects.
