This is a permanent position with a global Fossil Maintenance contractor. This position will base in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and will require extensive knowledge of Boilers and Boiler Maintenance programs, preferably from an OEM background. The Boiler Engineer position will require a BSME, daily interface with the client and management responsibilities. Job Description below. Job Responsibilities:

Overall management and oversight of comprehensive, multi-site Quality Program. Specific responsibilities include:

• Provides technical direction and training for Quality Inspectors in Boiler Equipment Inspection programs (documentation, assessment, reporting requirements, etc.) and QC program implementation (ASME, Code Work, etc.).
• Manages the project’s Quality Organization including implementation of a multi-discipline quality program across all locations.
• Provides technical guidance for inspection, testing and related service activities.
• Provides oversight of Quality Personnel who perform audit, inspection, surveillance, and/or testing activities in accordance with the project quality program.
• Application of Federal Codes and Standards, ASME Section I, B31.1, NBIC, State Boiler Law, and associated reporting requirements.
• Effectively interprets multi-discipline engineering and quality requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of reliability based maintenance inspections and condition based maintenance inspection programs. (Boiler Inspection of pressure parts).
• Maintain knowledge of EPRI and tube leak mechanisms and root cause analysis.
• Provide oversight and technical support in quality program development, risk analysis, project management, monitoring, diagnostic analysis, and problem resolution.
• Direct and apply engineering theory, practices and principles to determine root cause of equipment failures and to perform equipment performance evaluations.
• General Management responsibilities include:
• Manage project’s Value Creation Program
• Support staffing efforts for Quality personnel
• Budget development and oversight
• Other duties as assigned

Experience Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of fossil boilers gained through 10-12 years of inspection services, quality control, code work, and boiler operations.
• Prior supervisory/management experience for a minimum of 3 years.
