Immediate need for a field manager on a large Steam Flood project in the Kansas City area.

Location- Kansas City area
Terms- open to direct or contract
Start date- Immediate need
Pay- commensurate upon experience

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years background and experience in the development of shallow heavy oil reserves through steam flood and other recovery methods; including knowledge of heavy oil & thermal reservoir & production engineering with drilling, completions, or operations experience and management of field personnel. Must be a self starter, knowledgeable about all phases of heavy oil development and have the ability to assist in the development of annual budgets and implementation of development programs.

This is a long-term opportunity to develop multiple steam flood operations on a large scale.

Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Oversee heavy oil production performance and steam needs.
• Oversee thermal well completion and workovers, including design of thermal completions for producers and steam injectors.
• Design and oversee lift, and subsurface steam distribution techniques, remedial workovers on producers and injectors.
• Interact with rig and field personnel. Some rig work supervision expected.
• Lead field efforts to develop new assets and/or operational issues, heavy oil technology development and best practices deployment.
• Assist in the development and implementation of annual operating budgets and development plans
• Develop and manage team of field personnel.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
In order to be considered for this job, applicants must have:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related Engineering discipline (Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical).
• Knowledge of and experience with heavy oil and thermal reservoir engineering practices and heat management techniques.
• Knowledge of oil, gas, water, steam phase behavior and rock properties at extreme temperature ranges.
• Knowledge of heavy oil and thermal or geothermal completions and workover techniques.
• Knowledge of production well performance and inflow, artificial lift and injection well completions.
• The willingness and ability to relocate to asset area.
