System One is currently seeking a Chemistry or Water Treatment Specialist for natural gas-fired combine cycle power plant in Delta, UT.

Performs analysis of samples representing all plant water systems. Makes recommendations on the required chemical treatment or operational parameters. Other duties include: inventory and calibration and general maintenance of bench top lab instruments. Anyone position may not include all duties nor do the example of duties include all tasks, which may be found in the position of this class.

Responsibilities:
• Work with operators to track water chemistry and keep a log.
• Make sure there are adequate testing supplies.
• Work with the control room supervisor to adjust blow-downs and chemical feeds as required.
• Keep sample system clear and maintain adequate flows for analyzers to work
• Work with vendor and I/C techs as needed to keep analyzers calibrated.
• Work with construction on hydros

Requirements:
• Associates degree in an mechanical and piping technology related curriculum or equivalent job related experience (two years of experience equals one year of college)
• Ten (10) years of experience in water chemistry or water treatment inside a coal plant
