Inside Machinist-Level II-Large Machine Operator(Off-Site)

Pay: $45/Hour
Per-Diem: $120.00/Day at lease 8 hours is worked
Location: Newport News
Job Duration: 2 Years
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE ON:

Experience with large machining (parts up to as much as 30 feet in length)
Horizontal Boring Mills, with multiple head attachments
Experience machining large weldments, and a variety metals is preferred.
Vertical Milling Machines, Bridge/Gantry type mills with multiple head attachments.
Multiple axis machining background preferred, either 3 + 2, or 5-axis experience is helpful.
Five years minimum experience as a Inside-Shop Machinist

Recommended Skills:

Safety orientated
Proficient with Numerical Controlled Processes, Manual Data Input, Tooling Offsets, Conversation Controllers, etc.
Operate Manual and/or NC machines such as: lathes, mills, horizontal & vertical machining centers, EDMs, etc.
Proficient with controllers such as: Fanuc, Siemens, Acramatic, Cincinnati-Milacron, etc.
Proficient with the use of precision measuring instruments: outside/inside micrometers, depth mics, verniers, etc.
Proficient with threading and the various measuring/gauging requirements Drilling/tapping processes
Familiar with carbide machining processes
Ability to comprehend complex mechanical drawings and blueprints
Strong math skills
Machinist or Tool & Die Apprenticeship
