Responsible for coordinating work connected with the testing and/or commissioning of electrical distribution and transmission substations for utility clients.
Individual needs to have a strong background in protection and control circuits in transmission substations.
Familiarity with the programming and testing transmission type relays such as Schweitzer, GE, Areva and ABB relays would be a plus (not required).
Experience required in the evaluation of testing data for power circuit breakers, transformers and other substation components. Substation component testing would be performed by others.
Superior knowledge of computers is required as well as the ability to perform automated relay testing by utilizing a laptop.

Should have experience with a variety of electrical apparatus used in the power industry including transformers, breakers, and switchgear.
