An engineering background REQUIRED to understand the terminology*** Strong technical writer responsible for developing, revising and finalizing new business process procedures which will result from and support the implementation of the Meter Data Management System (MDM) across the four operating companies. The Tech Writer will have expert level proficiency in Microsoft Word, excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills. Responsibilities will include, and will not be limited to, the following: Create document control process, standards, and maintenance schedules for meter operations and billing documentation Work with multiple departments and subject matter experts on document creation and retention for these procedures Participate in design sessions and interact closely with working groups and subject matter experts Schedule and attend meetings, and coordinate document input, review and approval to meet project deadlines Candidates will have a strong understanding of document formatting and presentation techniques.
Expert level proficiency in Word is required. Familiarity with Microsoft Visio is preferred. Candidates will have the demonstrated ability to synthesize a wide array of complex decisions and information into a series of simple, organized and rational steps that achieve the desired objective Ability to learn utility-specific systems quickly to support new application installation is also required.
