MUST HAVE 2 yr./4 yr. Degree in Surveying and/or Licensed Surveyor!!!

Demonstrated skill in surveying methods and use of latest surveying technology and equipment.

Demonstrated skill in surveyed related mathematics (geometry, trigonometry).

Demonstrated proficiency at using data collection system.

Must have knowledge of personal computer and be able to use surveying related software.

Must be able to interpret engineering plans, highway drawings, specifications and land descriptions.

Must be able to effectively work as a team member and effectively communicate with associates.

Job Summary:
Serves as a survey crew member performing a wide variety of surveys including, but not limited to: transmission line and highway route, boundary, route, geodetic control, GPS, construction, hydrographic, topographic, volumetric, flood study, photo control and deformation.

Position Requirements: Conducts a variety of operations and tests, experiments, resource management practices, and analyses according to established procedures. May also assist with land management activities which serve to protect or enhance natural or cultural resources. Operates and troubleshoots equipment including the identification of procedural and/or equipment improvements. Assists with monitoring contractors to ensure compliance with all applicable standards and environmental laws or regulations. Performs calculations on data and assists in evaluating results. Analyzes and evaluates technical problems and determines methodology to use in problem resolution. Assists in scheduling analyses, in revising drawings, designs, and specifications. May direct/coordinate the work of basic level technicians and/or craft personnel.
