System One is seeking a LEAD ELECTRICAL DESIGNER (WIRING DESIGNER) TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INITIATING AND DEVELOPING ENGINEERING DRAWINGS THROUGH COMPLETION FOR ASSIGNED PROJECTS IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS, APPLICABLE CODES, AND DESIGN CRITERIA ESTABLISHED BY THE PROJECTS DISCIPLINE ENGINEERS.

EDUCATION: ASSOCIATES DEGREE IN ENGINEERING DISCIPLINE OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE.EXPERIENCE: 10+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. CAPABILITY WITH 2D AND/OR 3D PLANT DESIGN IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

The LEAD WIRING DESIGNER will perform design in electrical and controls wiring for electric utility substations, including low voltage power, controls, protection and data communications. Typical drawing types will include one line diagrams, three line diagrams, block diagrams, internal wiring diagrams, connection and terminations drawings for Switchgear, circuit breakers, Protection and Controls Panels.

10 - 15yrs Electrical Physical Design Experience with Electric Utiliity High Voltage (115 kv - 345 kV) Substations. The designer must be proficient in use of Autocad 2002 or later version drafting software. Autocad Building Systems 3D software is a plus. A Certificate from Technical Training Institute preferred; including electrical wiring courses, or job experience. The assignment is in New York City and candidate must live within commuting distance.
