Qualifications:

Electrical transmission and distribution experience.

Ability to meet facility employee training and access requirements.

2-4 years college degree preferred or equivalent combination of formal education/training and experience.

Knowledge of FERC/NERC standards preferable.

Technical Procedure Writer Certification Course information (UPDATE 11-6-2009)

Procedure Solutions Management, LLC will provide our next Technical Procedure Writer Certification Course, December 14-18 at the Atlantic Cape Community College located at 1535 Bacharach Blvd., Atlantic City, NJ 08104

The cost for this instruction is offered at $775.00 per person for the 4 day course and 5th day options. The course has been redesigned to now include newly updated Procedure Professionals Association (PPA) material (www.ppaweb.org). The new 4 or 5 day format (extended from 3-4 days based on attendee feedback) includes a combination of classroom and a minimum of 16 hours of computer lab instruction. The 5th day option provides students with additional 8 hours of one-on-one computer lab time with two PPA Certified instructors. After completion of the course, a PPA writer certification exam will be available for an extra $100 cost paid directly to the PPA.

The course is designed to help people develop or improve the skills required to write Human Factored technical procedures based on the current industry standards (developed in the nuclear industry) and best practices. The course has been taught to over 130 students since December 2008.

We are confident that the material presented combined with the computer lab hands on practice and our commitment to support you for up to a year following the class (at no additional cost) will enable you to be considered for the many procedure writing jobs currently posted on web sites such as Roadtechs.com.
