We are looking for a Field Service Generator Engineer for a global leading company. The candidate can be relocated anywhere near a major airport and can expect up to 70% travel to South and Central America. Location: Near Major Airport - 65% travel; 35% home
Terms: Permanent / Direct
Salary: Depends on experience

Summary
Select and apply field service engineering techniques and procedures in the installation, modification, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of turbine generators and gas/steam turbines.
• Direct work to accomplish installation, repair, maintenance malfunction analysis, or operation of customer’s turbine-generators;
• Direct technical and non-technical personnel at the job site in running rewinds and other generator repair jobs;
• Establish, create and review procedures and tests relating to generators;
• Coordinate, review and select generator subcontractor qualifications to support field service activities;
• Knowledge and experience testing larger H2 cooled generators;
• Knowledge and experience with Voltage Regulator analysis and repair helpful;
• Knowledge and experience with generator trouble shooting and analysis;
• Assign work to other technical/professional personnel as necessary;
• Interface with customer personnel to coordinate work and provide progress;
• Prepare and submit accurate reports regarding conditions, required actions and obtained results;
• Heavy overnight travel (70%) by land and/or air in Latin America.
Requirements:
• Spanish speaking required
• 5+ years as a Generator Specialist or Generator Engineer required.
