Electrical Engineer
This individual will interact with a team of engineers, architects, designers, and project managers on government facility electrical systems design projects under direction of the Senior Electrical Engineer.

Major duties include:
• Designing facility electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, grounding and lightning protection
• Designing low voltage and medium voltage systems up to 15 KV
• Performing electrical load and lighting calculations
• Creating facility electrical system s design plans from engineering concepts
• Prepare reports and construction documents; including specifications, plans, construction schedules and cost estimates
• Analyzing code issues and recommending corrective actions
• Using computer assisted engineering and design software prepare engineering design documents
• Working with drafting personnel and engineering designers to develop electrical construction drawings
• Developing construction drawings utilizing CATIA and AutoCAD MEP (Revit preferred)
• Using Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word and AutoCAD
• Performing other related duties as required
Job requirements and qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline.
• 8+ years’ experience in electrical design which includes performing electrical calculations and equipment selection knowledge
• Experience designing electrical projects using AutoCAD MEP (Revit preferred)
• Experience using CATIA
• Experience performing engineering tasks using design or engineering software and equipment.
• Experience with facility construction means and methods
• Experience with using the National Electrical Code and other NFPA documents
• Registered Professional Engineer or EIT
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
