Responsible for communicating and implementing methods of integration of quality standards across departments. Provide timely and accurate completion of various activities including extensive statistical analysis, product nonconformance investigations, quality document management, process improvement and other project management activities. Collaborates with Engineering on design of new products.
Apply statistical analysis methods to evaluate data such as, customer returns and production processes to determine the root cause of nonconformities, recommend and implement corrective and preventative actions
Assist in the continual improvement of manufacturing and process Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA) to ensure that all products satisfy customer specifications and comply with regulatory requirements
Ensure drawing conformity and customer standards are met
Interface with managers, engineers, suppliers and customer quality representatives concerning issues with quality
Coordinate activities associated with first article build of new products
Lead and participate in internal and external quality audits
Troubleshoot root cause of manufacturing issues for aircraft instruments, power components and circuitry.
Degree in Electronics Technology or related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment in aviation quality assurance required
Strong statistical analysis capabilities required
Strong mechanical skills with an ability to think critically from system to component level
Electronic theory and troubleshooting experience required
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and processes required
Extensive experience with inspection and quality control methods, techniques and equipment required
Knowledge of FAA regulatory rules for certification, manufacturing, and maintenance preferred
AS9100 and compliance training preferred
