Job Description

Join our team as an Aircraft Mechanic, where you will engage in an aircraft conversion program focusing on heavy maintenance. While primarily working on Q400 conversion to aerial firefighting, you will also contribute to other divisions across different facilities. This role involves basic mechanical work such as engine checks, wheel changes, structural inspections, and overall repairs. It is a long-term, full-time contractor position.

Responsibilities
* Perform heavy maintenance checks on aircraft.
* Conduct basic mechanical work including engine checks, wheel changes, and structural inspections.
* Engage in overall repairs as needed.
* Work primarily on Q400 conversion to aerial firefighting.
* Collaborate with different divisions and work across various facilities.

Essential Skills
* M2 license with at least 3 years of experience.
* Minimum of 2 years experience in heavy maintenance.
* At least 2 years of experience in aircraft mechanical work.
* Current Human Factors Certification from 2021 onwards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Experience with Dash 8 Q400 is highly preferred.
* Beneficial to have experience in northern regions such as Yukon and NW territories.
* Over 5 years of experience with 737 aircraft.
* Experience in line maintenance and aircraft interiors.
* Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic team consisting of lead hands, mechanics, contractors, avionics, and structures techs. Collaborate with rotating team leads to ensure aircraft functionality. Bring basic tooling with you. Shifts are Monday to Friday, typically 10-hour days from 6 AM to 4:15 PM, with occasional overtime on Saturdays. Flexibility for 8-hour shifts from 7 AM to 3:30 PM is available.

The pay range for this position is $53.30 - $56.38/hr.
