PMQS – Project Quality Management Quality Services is hiring experienced Pipefitters for a long-term opportunity in Newport News, Virginia.

Pay Rate: $35/hour
Per Diem: $120/day for qualified non-local candidates
Location: Newport News, VA
Contract: 2 Years
U.S. Citizenship: REQUIRED
Background Check, Drug Test & Respirator Fit Test: Required

Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience as a First Class Pipefitter in marine, commercial nuclear, or petrochemical environments
Must be able to read and interpret ship piping drawings
Experience fitting Carbon Steel, CRES, and Copper-Nickel (CuNi) piping
Required Skills
End-prep piping by hand and/or using Wach or Portsmouth machines
Install pipe hangers
Read a ruler using inches and tenths
Prep and fit backing rings
Clean, cut, and break pipe using a grinder
Hand-prep V-bevels
Fabricate various details and assemblies from drawings
Bend pipe from templates and use a hand bender
Fit welded sockets
Fit brazed joints with or without insert rings
Additional Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete all required pre-employment requirements, including:

Background check
Drug test
Respirator fit testing
Must be a U.S. Citizen
