Contract: 2 Years
Pay: $38–$45/Hour
Per Diem: $120/Day

PMQS – Project Management Quality Services is seeking experienced Structural Welders (Pulse Arc) for a long-term opportunity in Newport News, Virginia.

Required Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of NNS or Naval Shipyard experience as a First Class Welder
- Multi-pass fillet and butt welding
- Experience with SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GMAW-P (Pulse Arc)
- Oxygen/Propane heating torch experience
- Air Carbon Arc Gouging
- Proper use of fillet and butt weld gauges
- Experience working in physically demanding shipyard environments
- Nickel/Copper experience is a plus, but not required Pasted markdown

Welding Qualification:
Candidates must be prepared to pass Newport News welding qualifications without training, including:
- SMAW – 2G, 3G & 4G
- FCAW – 2G, 3G & 4G
- GMAW – 2G
- GMAW-P / Pulse Arc – 2G, 3G & 4G
- Air Carbon Arc Gouging proficiency
- Visual Inspection of Welds Level I
- Welder vision test
- Pulse Arc weld test required Pasted markdown

Additional Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Hair Follicle Drug Test Required – 90-Day Lookback
- Background Check / Employment Verification Required
- Must meet required safety, PPE, respirator, fall-protection, and medical-clearance requirements
