Project Management Quality Services (PMQS) is actively hiring experienced Manufacturing Pipe Welders for a long-term opportunity in Goose Creek, South Carolina!

POSITION DETAILS

Position: Manufacturing Pipe Welder
Location: Goose Creek, SC – Manufacturing Facility (NOT a Shipyard)
Pay: $50/hour
Per Diem: $120/day for qualified non-local candidates
Contract Duration: 6+ Years

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

High school diploma/GED plus 5 years of additional education and/or related experience, OR a relevant apprenticeship/associate degree plus 3 years of related experience.

Strong hands-on pipe welding experience.

Experience welding and working with metal alloys.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and welding specifications.

Experience producing quality welds that meet required tolerances.

Welding certification may be required.

PIPE WELDING TEST REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be able to perform:

Thin-wall Copper-Nickel (CuNi) socket welds

Heavy-wall Copper-Nickel (CuNi) pipe welds with consumable inserts

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform welding on metal components and piping assemblies according to engineering specifications.

Read and interpret drawings to determine proper weld layouts.

Prepare and weld materials to required tolerances.

Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards are met.

Follow all required welding procedures and safety regulations.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must pass a drug screening.

Must pass a background check.

Must meet required safety training and PPE requirements.

Must be comfortable working in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.
