PMQS – Project Management Quality Services is hiring experienced First Class Outside Machinists for a long-term shipbuilding assignment in Newport News, Virginia!

POSITION DETAILS

Pay: $35 per hour
Per Diem: $150 per day for eligible non-local candidates
Location: Newport News, VA
Duration: 2 Years
Schedule: Shift flexibility required
DoD Security Clearance: NOT Required

REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum 4 years of commercial or naval experience as a First Class Machinist.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
- Experience installing and repairing shipboard machinery and equipment.
- Knowledge of pumps, valves, turbines, propulsion systems, and mechanical components.
- Experience with precision measuring tools, alignment, and machining equipment.
- Familiarity with shipbuilding terminology and mechanical systems.
- Must pass a background check and hair follicle drug test.
- U.S. citizenship required by the client.
