RFQ Number 357248 SPF Application Developer

US Citizenship Required: Yes

Savannah River Site has a need for a .Net Developer to help in converting Intergraph SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) to the latest core release of SPF V6.0. The site is migrating inhouse developed add-on configuration, forms, workflows, and reports from a SPF core release of 4.4 to the latest core release 6.0. The developer will be providing all manner of programming services towards this end. The developers must be a team player, able to interact with additional SPF developers, must be able to take direction as well as give direction. The individual will need to coordinate with other SPF developers and Process Control and Automation Engineering personnel to implement solutions and resolve problems with the upgrade. Additionally, the developer is responsible for compliance with departmental policies and processes and for performing all duties and activities in a safe and ethical manner.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Development
a. Capable of performing and directing PC&AE resources on the conversion of Intergraph SPF V4.4 custom system to the latest Intergraph SPF V6 version.
b. Take requirements and produce the next release code and executables, using existing code if it exists and it is applicable.
c. Thoroughly test code against requirements
d. Produce test plans and test cases against requirements
e. Able to conduct testing on other developer’s code
f. Able to conduct peer reviews of code
g. Promotes effective use of technology
h. Be very proficient in Microsoft Visual 2010 or higher

2. Communication
a. Keep peers and STR informed of trends, significant problems, unexpected delays and anything new in the environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Candidate must have the one of the following degrees with associated years of experience:
• PhD in Information Systems or related field with minimum of 3 years experience,
• Masters in Information Systems or related field with minimum of 5 years experience,
• Bachelor of Science in Information Systems or related field with minimum of 8 years of experience.

Experience/Skills:
A qualified candidate should be someone who can:
• Work independently
• Has excellent written & oral communication skills
• Is proficient at making enhancements to an existing product
• Handle their work assignments and complete assignments according to schedule constraints
• Must have a minimum 8 years of recent experience and knowledge of :
• .Net Development
• Microsoft Visual Studio (2010, or higher) as the .Net development environment
• SQL and PLSQL scripting
• Object Oriented Programming
Must have at least 4 years of experience and knowledge of:
• Migrating Intergraph Smart Plant Foundation Core Product 4.4 to 6.x
• In setup, configuration, and maintenance of Internet Information Services 7.x or higher

Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will have a cubical exposed to normal noise level in the work environment.

Work Hours:
A 40 hour work week is scheduled using the 9/80s AA schedule (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B) or 4/40s schedule (10 hours/day, four days a week, Mon-Thur. Work week excludes site holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.

Area Security Access:
A security clearance is not required but individual must be a US Citizen and capable of obtaining a clearance.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
The developers shall develop/modify application code as assigned for the SRNS to produce, test and accept a site releasable version of the SmartPlant Foundation core release 6.0 which meets the business needs. This will include documentation and schedules necessary to support the changes and applications. This documentation must be compliant with SRNS Quality Assurance policies.
