Contract / Temp to Direct / Direct Hire: Contract
City: Knoxville, TN

ohnson Service Group is seeking candidates to fill an IT Help Desk Specialist opening in Knoxville, TN.

Direct Hire.
This is a regular, full-time 1st shift position.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to):

Primary Point of Contact for most help desk issues.
Maintaining servers, including trouble shooting, hardware and software maintenance, back up servers and VPN
Primary support arm for setting up new devices such as laptops, desktops, iPads, and other mobile devices.
Provide software support for company applications, including Solomon, AMOS, APOS, Billmaster and POP.
Working with other IT personnel to develop new practical solutions to complex issues.
Working Knowledge of SharePoint and workflow design. Able to troubleshoot and design SharePoint workflows (Nintex), libraries, and other services as they relate to SharePoint (will provide training). Will serve as a backup SharePoint administrator.
Provide support to end users, including trouble shooting and upgrading equipment
Contributing to company strategies and plans
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced knowledge of computer systems, hardware and software
Able to develop custom applications or changes in applications as needed to provide better serviced to the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree and/or certifications in Information Technology or related field(s)
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in IT with working knowledge of servers, PC’s and programming

Must be able to effectively communicate orally or in written form with management, internal and external customers. Basic mathematical skills required.

Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practice problems or resolve issues.
Should be able to think outside the box and develop sensible and practical solutions to issues.

The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, mandatory hearing protection, and/or steel toed shoes. Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
