Provide a qualified Computer System Analyst – Systems & Programming responsible for supporting the Information Technology (IT) enterprise system requirements of the MSA Information Management (IM) Network and Computing Services (N&CS) organization.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK – SPECIFIC
The Computer System Analyst – Systems & Programming: will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and writing client and client/server based software, systems scripts, and tier two support of clients and servers in a Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure supporting IT services and applications across the Hanford site to ensure enterprise level performance, availability and security.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Troubleshooting, debugging, and creating new Windows forms and Shell based Visual Basic .Net, VB Script, C#, and PowerShell based scripts and programs.
•Thorough knowledge of Windows x64 & x86 based client and server systems running on various hardware and virtual platforms.
•Provide Tier-2 troubleshooting support, working with the user support team and the operations staff to effectively manage and communicate issues and perform problem analysis to resolution on a 24/7 schedule.
•Technical/trade school degree/certification geared towards Information Technology
•Minimum eight years’ experience supporting Windows x64 & x86 based clients and/or servers.
•Minimum two years’ experience working with the HLAN enterprise network, server and desktop environment.
•Ability to design, develop, document, test, and field simple and complex systems manipulation software/scripts.
•Ability to provide support during non-standard business hours and be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as needed or as scheduled.
•Ability to communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing.
•Attention to detail and exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
•BA/BS degree geared towards Information Technology - WAN/LAN and/or 8 years’ experience in IT.
•Minimum two years’ experience in troubleshooting, debugging, and creating new Windows forms and Shell based Visual Basic .Net, VB Script, C#, and PowerShell based scripts and programs
•Understanding of Windows Deployment Server and related technologies like D.I.S.M., WIM files, and U.S.M.T.
•Experience programming multi-threaded G.U.I. and/or shell applications and related .Net based programs.
•Ability to read/write various systems data to/from Microsoft SQL databases.
