Roles and Responsibilities:
Job Summary:
Successful candidates will support the network, server, and operations infrastructure in a manner consistent with the organizational cyber security program to ensure compliance with the Department of Energy contract requirements, NIST standards, and organizational policies/procedures for both general support systems and industrial control systems. Key components of these positions may include any of the following: server administration, network administration, information security technical staff, instrument device support, and desktop support.


Desired expertise and experience includes:
• Experience in an environment supporting Industrial Control Systems
• Experience utilizing a variety of system and network administration tools
• Solid familiarity with cyber security principles, best practices, and NIST requirements

Responsibilities may include any of the following:
• Promotes responsible empowerment and the core values: safety, integrity, accountability, teamwork, excellence, and leadership
• System monitoring and alerting
• Incident response
• Regulatory compliance activities
• Instrument device support
• Hardware and software installation and support
• Application and operating system maintenance and upgrades
• Desktop support activities and peripherals
• Advanced troubleshooting and administration of servers and/or networks
• System backups and restorations
• Configuration management
• Documentation creation to include: drawings, system design documents, policies, procedures, plans, and work instructions
• Provide timely communication and reporting as requested
• Develop, implement, and enhance audit and compliance tracking processes to ensure adherence to IT policies and guidelines as well as regulatory compliance
• Identify and resolve technical security related issues across multiple project boundaries
• Work both independently and as a team member
• Must be a self-driven and results oriented individual capable of effectively working multiple tasks concurrently across a diverse program landscape. The ability to handle multiple priorities under deadlines is also required.
• Other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education and Experience):
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology field (MIS, CIS, CS) or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT technical position
