RFQ Number Computer Security Specialist
Mid-Level Computer Security Specialist for a large Federal project (Confidential) in Alexandria VA. Developers will work closely with team management and other team members. This position required USA citizenship and Security Clearance issued by Department of Defense mainly working in army, navy, or marine projects. One day WFH is allowed and it can be more than that based on responsibility and situation.
Desired Education: Bachelors Degree
Required Years of Experience: 5 years (note: 4 years of experience can be added in place of a Bachelors Degree)
Provides technical consultation and support in the development of computer applications and programs
Analyzes business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign program solutions
Codes, tests, debugs, maintains and refines the applications to meet specifications.
Enhances applications to reduce operating time and improve efficiency
Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
Analyze and document data requirements and relationships.
Develop programming specifications to support development team(s).
Writes and updates technical documentation such as users manuals, product specifications, and training materials
Knowledge, Technical Skills, & Ability:
This individual will work with the government cyber security team to ensure that the systems ATOs are maintained in accordance with DOD policies.
Knowledge of the defense information assurance certification and accreditation process (DIACAP) and risk management framework (RMF) processes
Experience developing System Security Plans (SSPs) and supporting Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation
Ability to document the system capabilities, verify and support the implementation of system controls (physical and logical).
Work on POA&Ms for the systems, and ensure that milestones are meet. This individual will also be responsible to perform risk assessments, and provide technical assessments based on the systems categorization level.
Understanding of the DISA STIGS and ability to verify these in a multiple of different system environments. Experience with writing Security Policies/documentation.
In-depth knowledge of NIST special publications, CNSS policies and instructions, and other requirements documents associated with the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Two years related practical experience in Cybersecurity, Engineering Test and Evaluation (T&E) or A&A related field.
DoD specific experience performing validator tasks with C&A and/or A&A Packages
Desired Skills & Experience:
Knowledge and experience in DoD project is an added PLUS.
Current CompTIA Security+ Certification Preferred
MUST be able to obtain CompTIA Security+ Certification within 1-2 months of start
Clearance & Citizenship Status:
Must be US Citizen
Current secret clearance from Department of Defense mainly in Navy, Army, and Marine
