In a fast paced, startup culture, head up software development projects, oversee Windows environment and direct activities of team members while adhering to company standards and supporting our culture of continuous improvement.
Perform and/or manage activities relating to planning, designing, building, and maintaining high quality software solutions, products and processes in a Windows environment. Create and assign detailed tasks to subordinates. Has budget responsibility projects, sub-project or process component. Expected to work under minimal supervision.PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
For projects: plan, design, and build\oversee software development projects in accordance with IT project management standards in a Windows, MS SQL environment. 40%
For operations and support: plan and lead IT activities required to manage service level agreements for applications and user base in Windows environment. Assist others in planning and prioritizing work and work schedules. 20%
Assist in creation of documentation for products and services. Use best practices to improve products and services provided to business unit partners, and monitor adherence within Team/Group to standards as defined within the Management Model. 15%
Establish positive team environment by proactively assisting and training less experienced personnel. Provide performance and development feedback as required. 15%
Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen within own discipline or function. 10%
QualificationsPOSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline and typically 5 to 8 years
Experience in infrastructure management and database application development or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Strong problem solving and analysis ability.
Excellent communications skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work with remote project teams.

In coordination with Process Manager, Maintain, develop, organize and prioritize the annual PowerLabs IT strategic objectives and initiatives.
Serve as the technical project lead on strategic PowerLabs IT projects- collaborating with PowerLabs employees, management and customers.
Guide the day to day technical work activity for Process Solutions IT Team and contract support (typically 2-6 contractors depending on activity)
Make technical recommendations and set priorities for annual IT capitol and O&M needs.
Technical oversight of the PowerLabs IT infrastructure and standardization/conformance to IT standards. Primary interface between Exelon PowerLabs and Nuclear Fleet Support.
Team progress and performance reporting on established objectives and initiatives.
