Information Security Specialist
Bachelor's degree (security-related or accounting
preferred) with 12 years of related experience, or
equivalent combination of relevant education and
With an Associates degree, 16 years of related
experience is required, or
With a High School Diploma, 20 years of related
experience is required.
At least 3 years of experience directly involving
leadership such as supervisor, manager, or lead
Detailed knowledge of DOE Information Security
requirements as defined in DOE orders, manuals, and
Active DOE Q clearance.
Level Specific Responsibilities:
May serve as Lead for other Information Security
Performs the full range of information security
functions such as Classified Matter Protection and
Control (CMPC); Incidents of Security Concern
(IOSC) Inquiry Official; Operations Security
(OPSEC); and Technical Surveillance Counter-
Demonstrates good communication skills by
sending complete, clear and concise
Develop and implement appropriate security
awareness and training programs.
Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures,
and related local government laws and regulations.
Participate in internal assessments, independent
assessments, performance tests, safeguards and
security surveys, etc.
