[System Engineer] System Support Specialist

The System Support Specialist will support and help administer our utility client’s designer qualification program which pre-qualifies designers to perform gas and electric design normally performed by themselves.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Support management with emphasis on continuous improvements to the program both procedurally and system enhancements.
Coordinate with client to expand the library of design questions to all exams.
Assist with creating a new exam and publishing them online for client vendors.
Develop solutions allowing candidates to utilize current collaborative product development design tools such as Volt Drop & Flicker and Cable Pulling calculators.
Build alliances with additional departments to enable active engagement in the program and RUBRIC procedures to ensure the applicant receives credit for design hours to earn the “qualified” status within disciplines.
Support guest and internal contractor SharePoint sites, and all associated user data related to testing, results, and RUBRIC information.
Support testing sites such as ClassMarker and ProctorFree as well and test events for Overhead, Underground, Gas, and Transformer Vault distribution design.
Perform comprehensive program data clean-up/maintenance.
Update and revise testing qualification fact sheet and materials as required.
Refine internal client SharePoint site to meet the needs and demands of the client.
Manage team inbox for miscellaneous requests and questions.
Creation and updating of program manuals as program evolves and expands.
Prepare qualified applicants to qualify for ICUE system.
Maintain integrity of ICUE process after QDA’s qualification.
Manage access requests for other program sites as needed.
Support user training when necessary
Qualifications and Experience

Associates degree in related field with one to two years of full-time computer experience.
SharePoint and Microsoft Office products experience required
Excellent communication skills to listen to problems reported by users and to relay information regarding the proper use of software and equipment
Time management skills to prioritize support tasks and complete job duties efficiently
Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
