Supports software applications and systems by investigating, designing, documenting and implementing new hardware and software. Functional Job Title Senior Oracle Software Developer
What You Will Do

The Software and Applications Engineering (SAE) Division supports Los Alamos National Laboratory’s (LANL) enterprise applications and performs software application development support, database development and administration, software quality management, and enterprise application consulting. The Enterprise Business Software Group (SAE-2) provides application development, commercial off-the-shelf application implementation, and adoption/integration with Software as a Service solution.

Working alongside some of the brightest minds, you will support the development and maintenance of HRMS, Procurement, Financial, Inventory and Environment, Safety, Health applications systems, and infrastructure components. Specific duties include tasks associated with the upkeep of various laboratory applications, the design and development of new applications and standards, and ensuring compliance with Laboratory specifications, standards, and security policies.

A selected candidate will be responsible to:
• Develop SQL and PL/SQL to support EBS extensions
• Design, develop, and test integrations with Oracle EBS
• Contribute to the designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging, and evaluating of software to meet customer requirements
• Collaborate with customers and colleagues
• Provide software enhancement and support using the Oracle development tool suite
• Work independently and/or with the Scrum Team on Projects
• Provide knowledge transfer to Technical staff


What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:

• Proficiency level of reading and writing advanced SQL and PLSQL queries and PL/SQL packages.
• Experience designing and developing database objects, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
• Experience creating test cases and writing unit tests with utPLSQL.
• Experience with utilizing Oracle Databases.
• Experience providing software support and enhancement utilizing Oracle development tool suite and working on Oracle Development Projects.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) 12.x.
• Experience using Oracle DB 11g, 12c, or 19.x.
• Experience with OAF Oracle applications framework.
• Experience with Oracle EBS Payroll, and Time and Labor.
• Experience utilizing tools such as Jira, GitLab and/or Confluence.
• Experience tuning SQL and troubleshooting database performance problems.
