Assist in the management of multiple projects while providing project management support and advice to cross functional teams. This opportunity can be located in Los Angeles, CA or 100% remote.
Supports Project Managers on multiple projects. Participates and sometimes leads recurring project meetings by capturing meeting notes, decisions, action items, issues, risks, and lessons learned. Manages, solicits input/comments, and tracks updates to meeting notes, decisions, action items, issues, risks, and lessons learned. Prepares documentation for scope, schedule, budget change requests with input from project team (project managers, technical personnel, stakeholders) using Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, MS Project. Gathers document signatures and files approved versions in document libraries on SharePoint. Works with project team to develop, maintain and update project schedules using MS Project. Supports schedule "what if" scenario exercises during project forecasting. Ensures tasks & milestones in project schedules are linked to appropriate predecessors and successors to yield one or more critical path. Ensures milestones in project schedules align with work breakdown structure in financial workbooks. Works with project managers to drive for timely procurements. Prepares periodic status reports for project teams, stakeholders, sponsors and executive leadership as required.
Three to five years of experience performing functions described in day-to-day responsibilities for technology projects in a cross-functional environment involving stakeholders from multiple disciplines; such as engineering, IT, construction, environmental, health and safety.
Must have demonstrable advanced skills on MS Project Professional 2013 or newer.
Advanced experience with MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
Advanced Excel skills include pivot tables, macros, conditional formatting, queries, formulas, charting, filters, data manipulation and troubleshooting, SAP, Ariba.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Project Management Professional (PMP) PMI Certification.
Experience in the utility, energy, construction or sciences industry.
Degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM).
Nice to have - Would be nice to have experience with Power BI, One Note Ariba.
