Edgewater is seeking qualified candidates for a Network Systems Tec 4 opportunity for our customer in Los Alamos, NM to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).
Work Location: Hybrid with onsite rotations, T60-175 and TA3-1498
Work Schedule: 9/80A
Clearance: Active “Q” clearance required
Positions Available: 1
Education:
Position requires a high school diploma and four-to-six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. At this level, additional training, certification, and/or education may be expected, including associate degrees and graduation from technical institutions.
Experience:
Excel, SharePoint, MS Office
Top desired Technical Skills
Technical ability with VCTs, Q-clearance, LANL experience preferred
Summary:
Manages the performance and profile of networked computer systems in support of programmatic activities. Provides technical assistance to computer system users. Assures computer system configurations conform to Institutional security requirements.
The senior network systems technician has complete understanding and wide application experience with technical principle, theories, and concepts related to their field. Applies extensive knowledge and skills to complete specialized tasks and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Assignments may be broad or narrowly focused. Impact is usually limited to a well-defined area of a project or specific assignment and may have some impact on the outcome of entire project or group accomplishments. Performs normal aspects of the job with little or no direct supervision. Work is occasionally reviewed for soundness of judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Contributions of original work are expected.
A selected candidate will be responsible to:
Schedule VTCs, Zoom and WebEx administration
Answering team phon line and customer emails.
Respond to service now tickets
Administer classified VTCs
Build classified bridges
Fill in at the various coordinator coverage locations (TA16, TA3, TA22, TA55, TA60)
