ATSS has a client with a direct-hire, full-time Electrical EI (EIT) opening located at their Oklahoma City, OK office. Our client is an EOE M / F / Vet / Disabled Employer.
The Electrical EI (EIT) will perform technical activities on assigned projects under guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer, which includes participation in technical studies, investigations and designs on projects.
The Electrical EI (EIT) will help in the production of projects that are on-time, within budget, and of the highest quality.
Main Responsibilities: •Under the supervision of a licensed professional Electrical Engineer (P.E.), the Electrical EI (EIT) will perform Electrical evaluations and system calculations which includes load calculations, ventilation schedules, to name a few, along with contributing to the final project client proposal.
•Electrical EI (EIT) will collaborate and coordinate with facility owners, clients, and/or architects as needed either independently or with a staff/project manager; and may prepare project narratives, proposals, meeting notes, or production schedules to support the timely and accurate delivery of completed projects.
•This role will handle site surveys to determine existing facility conditions either independently or with a staff/project manager.
•Assist the design team in the coordination with other disciplines which includes architectural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, civil, etc.
•Electrical EI (EIT) will join staff/project manager in performing project job site visits during construction to oversee progress and establish conformance to design specifications, owner expectations, and building codes. Help in preparing punch lists and project observations reports to note findings.
•Electrical EI (EIT) will actively attend in-house training sessions to gain knowledge in necessary technical areas.
Requirements: •Must: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a Mechanical or Electrical Emphasis from a four year ABET accredited college university.
•Must: EI (EIT) Certification (Pass the Fundamentals of Engineering Examinations (FE)).
•Must: Experience with building energy services in the large Commercial, Health and Higher-Education field.
•Preferred: 1-3 years of Intern, Co-Op, or Electrical design experience for an Engineering or Architectural/Engineering Design firm.
•Preferred: Experience with Commissioning, Controls and Energy Systems.
