[Foreman] Construction Piledriver Foreman

Contract / Temp to Direct / Direct Hire: Direct Hire

Primary Purpose: To manage a crew of 3 (2- pile driver /welders, 1 crane operator) and sometimes loader operator to install H-pile, 24” pipe pile, 24” concrete pile all various lengths, will need to splice most of the piles that will be installed. Assist in assembling cranes and mob cranes around the project to perform work safely and efficiently.

Typical Duties
• Communicate daily tasks with the crew.
• Insure all members of the crew have a clear understanding of the work-related hazards
• Report crew time (electronically), productions, and safety.
• Plan and carry out daily work activities.
• Attach and man rigging lines and hoses for pile hammer.
• Maintain rigging, tools and equipment.
• Operate gas acetylene torch and perform welding duties.
• Align and assemble template.
Physically, workers must be able to:
• See well (naturally or with correction);
• Climb and/or maintain balance; Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl;
• Lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds or more, with frequent lifting
• Carry objects weighing 50 pounds or more: and work at heights.
• Work in outdoor conditions (Rain, Heat, Dusty environment)

Desired Qualifications:
• Workers should be able to: Assist in planning an activity;
• Attain set limits or standards; Do simple arithmetic accurately; and make decisions based on measurable standards.
• Perform daily tasks without continual direction. Think clearly and determine safe practices. Climb and work at height’s above 100’. Make safe decisions based on work atmosphere and provide
• Have knowledge of the pile hammer and equipment. Fill out daily paper work associated with the work plans. Know and understand lifting methods and weight calculations.
• Interact with fellow workers and take direction from supervision.
• Know and understand all the hazards associated the pile operation. Can operate a gas acetylene torch. Perform light welding duties.
• Read and understand plans. Understand survey layout.
