MSE Wall (Precast Concrete Wall) Foreman

SGL Constructors is the Prime Contractor on the I-4 Ultimate Project in Orlando, FL. The total construction costs for the project are $2.3 Billion. The project includes 21 miles of bridge and highway construction stretching west of Kirkman Road to east of State Road 434.

Primary Purpose:
Plans, organizes, and supervises the work of a group or groups of skilled and unskilled laborers involved in heavy highway construction of mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls or precast concrete panels and laboring tasks.

Typical Duties:
Plans, organizes, and supervises the work of a group or groups of skilled and unskilled laborers involved in heavy highway construction of mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls and laboring tasks.
Schedules and coordinates the work of a group or groups of laborers.
Confers with appropriate supervision concerning the assignment and scheduling of required manpower.
Estimates manpower requirements and materials for various wall projects and work assignments.
Maintains inventory of materials and equipment and conveys information to his immediate supervisor.
Performs other related work as required.

Requirements:
3+ years of experience Preferred

Foreman should:
Have considerable knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions involved in heavy highway construction
Can perform Daily Pre-Task Briefings, Tool Box Talks and instill a SAFETY FIRST ENVIROMENT
Have various computer skills to prepare daily reports and log personnelís time daily

Preferred:
Experience Operating Heavy Equipment
Physically, Foreman must be able to:
See well (naturally or with correction);
Work in an outdoor environment (hot, dusty, inclement weather, etc.)
Climb and/or maintain balance; Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl;
Lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more, with frequent lifting
