Career opportunity for experienced Field Employee Recruiting Manager with fast-growing, Research-Triangle (North Carolina) based Construction subsidiary whose management welcomes a strong recruiting function!

This is a key role in organizational effectiveness; supplying field employees to projects via employee transfer and new hires – hands-on work with a recruiting team. Come for the opportunity at an organization about to take the step from good to great and stay for the good working atmosphere.

The Recruiting Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and managing field employee recruiting and staffing efforts; developing new employee pipelines and effective, thoughtful transfers of current employees among projects are key goals.

The RM will evaluate and analyze needs, opportunities and develop creative approaches to staffing construction projects across the Southeast and beyond. This includes managing the application of technology in anticipation of the needs of a fast growing organization in the dynamic construction industry, developing the recruiting team and close management of employee transfer schedules emphasizing efficiency and good treatment of employees.

A great candidate for this position might have started their career working Human Resources or in Construction, but for this position has developed a strong understanding of both.

Requirements include:

• Integrity – reliable honesty to bring the best employees into an atmosphere of high personal standards and enable management to trust the function
• Minimum 10 years* construction field recruiting experience, strongly prefer industrial plant maintenance background
• Demonstrated history of establishing excellent communication channels between discipline managers, executives, recruiting staff and field employees
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple objectives while maintaining clear set of priorities, and produce clear status reports to internal customers
• Ability to present and document recommendations to senior management for recruiting improvements and implement changes effectively with Recruiters and Hiring Managers
• Ability to implement team-building philosophy; Speak the truth, implement company direction sincerely and transparently, be a model for treating staff well
• Discipline to create and maintain schedules for current field staff and anticipate needed recruiting efforts
• Extensive working knowledge of labor law and practices, including union and non-union working environments


• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Construction Management; degree reduces experience requirement above to 5 years
• Flexibility and adaptability applying and recommending Human Resources, Scheduling and Construction software
• Current knowledge of industrial construction candidate pool in the Southeastern US
