Continental, Inc.—a Professional Staffing and Recruitment Company—is seeking a Construction Estimator in Bloomsburg and Hazelton, PA. This is a Direct Hire opportunity and seeking individuals with the below experience and qualifications.


*** Pay is $50k - $75k depending on experience ***


Produce electrical estimates on commercial, industrial and residential projects under the general supervision of Lead Estimator and in compliance with all Estimator job responsibilities and essential duties.

Duties and Responsibilities Essential to the Job – including the following and any other duties that may be assigned as needed:

• Estimate commercial, industrial and residential projects.
• Knowledgeable about the scope of an electrical project from take-off to quotation.
• Precision with details and time management to provide project estimates in a thorough and timely manner.
• Conduct a minimum of (1) site visit prior to estimating a project.
• Obtain final review and approval of estimate from Lead Estimator and/or Vice President prior to bid submission.
• Skilled and accurate utilization of company’s estimation software.
• Proficiency in contract review and analysis, interpretation and understanding of blue prints, drawings and work orders.
• Represent company at pre-bid meetings and bid openings.
• Maintain strong vendor, supplier and customer relations. Responsible for solicitation of vendor quotes for cost and labor values in estimates.
• Assist project managers and field professionals with troubleshooting on technical matters relating to commercial, industrial or residential estimates.
• Demonstrate complete and thorough knowledge of electrical materials, components and tools.
• Participate in special projects as deemed necessary by Vice President or Lead Estimator.
• Communicate with other employees, management and customers in a professional manner.
• Conform to company policies, procedures and safety requirements.

Reporting Relationships

• Reports to Vice President and Lead Estimator

Educational/Work Experience/Certifications

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Background in electrical construction, preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.


• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to accept and engage in work product review by Lead Estimator or Vice President during the estimation process from takeoff to summary and bid summary.
• Working knowledge of the most current National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA70E
• Technological proficiency, especially Microsoft Word and Excel and estimation software. Readily adaptive to technological changes in software systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to follow instructions, accept challenges and learn new methods.
• Commitment to company values and the highest level of professional and ethical standards.

Working Conditions

• Office position; daily computer use.
• Ability to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime as required and night shifts.

Special Requirements

• Ability to travel to jobsites or pre-bid and bid meetings, locally, in-state and out-of-state as business requires; evening and weekend work as needed.
• Background checks, screenings and physicals.
• Conform to all company policies and procedures.
