The Warehouse Worker will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment
and other items from warehouse or lay down yard. Maintain records and compile stock reports.
Load & unload tool trailers.
Deliver tools and trailers to and from job sites.
Receive, count and store deliveries and record data manually or in database.
Unpack, group and identify items to be stored on shelves or in lay down areas.
Verify inventory counts by comparing them to physical counts of stock; investigate and adjust
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse and lay down areas.
Mark items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools or other labeling equipment.
Clean and maintain equipment and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety
Determine proper storage method, identification and storage location based on turnover,
environmental factors and capabilities of facility.
Maintain records on the receipt, location, distribution, use and/or damage of stock and facility
May operate one or more forklifts or other equipment to move and deliver material between
warehouse, lay down area and project locations.
Examine and inspect delivery items for wear or defects; report any damage to supervisor.
High school diploma preferred and on-the-job training required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES:
Utilize various computer equipment for data entry and retrieval.
Effectively communication with warehouse staff, project management and vendors.
Maintain organization of parts, materials, equipment locations and records, etc.
Record and track details; invoices, bills of lading, delivery records etc.
Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments with possible exposure to noise, dust,
fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, moving objects, sharp edges, and
in all types of weather and temperature conditions.
Manual dexterity, sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Frequent climbing stairs/ladders, bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, reaching and crouching.
Occasional work on ladders, scaffolding or high structures.
Visual acuity to read printed and electronic documents.
Hearing capacity to receive, perceive and react to common construction environment auditory
Lifting and/or exerting of force up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds of lifting/force frequently
and up to 10 pounds of lifting/force constantly to move objects.
Frequent driving of motor vehicles.
