The Mechanic will be responsible for performing work involving the skills of two or more
maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an
establishment in repair. Duties may involve pipefitting, boiler making, insulating, welding, machining,carpentry, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, installing, aligning and balancing new equipment, or repairing buildings, floors or stairs.

Inspect systems to determine needs for repair or replacement of parts.

Repair or adjust parts that do not work properly and replace parts that cannot be fixed.

Perform preventative maintenance to ensure that equipment is safe for operation.

Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery.

Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.

Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and
wrenches to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.

Utilize code and reference books and materials to aid in diagnosis and trouble shooting
May work at heights.

High school diploma preferred.

Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments with possible exposure to noise, dust,
fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, moving objects, sharp edges, and
in all types of weather and temperature conditions.

Manual dexterity, sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Frequent climbing stairs/ladders, bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, reaching and crouching.

Occasional work on ladders, scaffolding or high structures.

Visual acuity to read printed and electronic documents.

Hearing capacity to receive, perceive and react to common construction environment auditory stimuli.

Lifting and/or exerting of force up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds of lifting/force frequently
and up to 10 pounds of lifting/force constantly to move objects.

Frequent driving of motor vehicles.

Schedule: M-F/7AM-3:30PM; OT if necessary
