Job Description: Emergency Preparedness Specialist

Position is located in Richland, WA. Travel and per diem have not been authorized for this position.

Emergency Preparedness Coordinators accountable for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Emergency Preparedness Program and supporting documentation at their assigned facilities/areas, assuring that all applicable program requirements are addressed
Maintain fully operational Facility Emergency Response Organizations including identifying and training backup personnel
Conduct drills and evaluate drill performance
Facilitate implementation of corrective action plans to address program weaknesses and continue systematic assessment programs for continuous process improvement
Develop and revise EP Documentation to reflect new requirements, operational and organizational changes as necessary
Track and report program status to EP and Operations management via established standards, formats and timelines
Required Qualifications:

BA or BS degree in a relevant field of study (or a combination of education and relevant experience) and a minimum of 2 years of related experience required
Experience working at a DOE or DOD worksite, or experience working on a government contract including commercial nuclear power or other equivalent related emergency preparedness, facility operations, or training experience is required
Additional Information

This job is on a US federal facility site. Candidate must be able to meet requirements for working on a federal facility site without escort and without sponsorship.
