Advanced Carpenters (2 for Kernersville, NC)
Contract position; now until 2/28/2019 Per diem available.
Work schedule 5 days x (10 hours shifts)
The advanced Carpenter must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and be a lead worker (managing 2 helpers)
Elevation of work; are personnel working on ground level; work scope / under client supervision.
Typical duties of advanced carpenters include, but are not limited to: supervise the activities of laborers and helpers, read and understand construction plans and notes, use measuring devices and accurately perform carpentry math. Advanced Carpenters must be able to use a variety of tools to accurately measure, cut and join wood, fiberglass, plastic and other building materials. Depending on their particular jobs, they frame structures, construct rebar templates, concrete formwork, prefabricated panels, concrete block-outs and erect scaffolding.
Candidates must be physically fit and able to safely climb, erect, and work from elevated platforms.
(maximum elevation is 30 feet).
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift and move at least 50 lbs. as routine part of job
Communicates using English to work with others.
Agree to for cause drug and alcohol testing procedures and pre-employment screening including drug and alcohol screening.
Safety operate a variety of electric saws, hammers, drills, levels, miter boxes, pneumatic nail guns, sanding machines and squares, construct specialty concrete forms, templates, bracing and block-outs and be willing to take instructions from general superintendent and field engineers.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial concrete construction
Retaining wall, bridge, or vertical construction preferred
National gang forms
Cast in place concrete construction
Fall protection training
