Subject: [Estimating Manager] Looking for Estimating Manager in Sinton, Texas
This is a direct hire job paying 100,000 to 150,000 a year.
•Provide highly-skilled electrical estimating
services to oilfield operations, refineries, agricultural businesses and industrial electrical contracting.
•Virtually self-supervising and assume direct accountability for their work product and goals.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
•Extensive Knowledge and the Ability to:
Estimate electrical projects in an oilfield and industrial settings.
Coordinate, developing reviewing of plans, specifications and estimates for projects.
Calculate materials prices, labor costs, and equipment.
Assist Project Managers to ensure assigned projects to meet or exceed budget, project deadlines and goals.
Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
Review and recommend the best options based on cost and quality.
Consult with clients, vendors, and subcontractors for estimating, scheduling, and resolving issues
Develop written proposals for clients
Assess cost effectiveness of products,
projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
Assist in setting up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedure
•High School Diploma
•5 years estimating experience in an oilfield and industrial related setting.
•Valid Class C driver’s license
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND/OR WORKING CONDITIONS
· Must be willing to travel to job viewings, some maybe located out of town.
· Ability to climb up or down ladders, stairs and scaffolding.
· Ability to work in an office environment
· Must be presentable to clients, owners, etc.
•Required to work weekends and holidays.
•Required to work hours other than 8 to 5.
•Required to wear personal protective equipment provided by employer and comply with all safety requirements.
•Must attend work regularly and observe approved work hours.
•Final applicants for any position must pass a drug/alcohol test prior to employment and will be subject to reasonable cause and random drug/alcohol testing during employment. Failure or refusal of a drug/alcohol test may result in removal of job offer or immediate termination.
•A criminal background check may be required for this position to obtain a Texas Workers Identification Card (TWIC). An unsatisfactory criminal background check may result in removal of job offer or immediate termination.
•At the discretion of the employer, a successful post-offer/pre-employment physical exam may be required at the employer’s expense.
•A Driver's record check will be conducted by the employer. Satisfactory driving records are required for driving company motor driven equipment to conduct company business.
