Safety Manager - Fort Sam Houston
Interior Renovation Design Build Project for existing office suite for Navy.

•OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Safety Training, or
•OSHA 30 General Construction Industry Safety Training
•US Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1 Training (preferred)
•Demonstrated maintenance of competency through having taken 8 hours of documented formal, on-line, or self-study safety and health related coursework every year.
•Ability to implement corporate safety plan and develop site specific safety plans. Experience in preparing Accident Prevention Plans, conducting safety meetings and preparing Activity Hazard Analyses.
•Serves as or manage "Competent and/or Qualified Person" for activities including, but not necessarily limited to Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, Trenching, Lead Hazards, Hot Work, and Excavation.
•Maintaining a safe construction site through direction and training of workers, ensuring all persons on the job site are wearing PPE and safety equipment and written documentation to maintain accountability of sub-contractor work force.
•Provide full-time support in the field, on the construction projects, to assure operations are planned and conducted in a safe manner. Work to be sure key subcontractors are prepared ahead of time, have directions to the job site, and perform all work with the utmost quality safely. Interface with Government Safety & Health Officer on site safety & health issues and coordinate preventative measures.
•Must be able to pass background checks for Federal construction projects.
