We are currently looking for an Environmental Scientist / Industrial Hygienist, to join our Building Sciences and Industrial Hygiene (BSI) Practice in the Reston, VA/ Washington DC area.
Responsibilities will include:
•Conduct hazardous materials surveys for asbestos-containing materials, lead-containing materials, water intrusion, mold investigations, etc. using TRC mobile solutions.
•Perform work relating to environmental due diligence including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments
•Coordinate, schedule, and perform site inspections for environmental due diligence assessmentsThrough site inspections and site contact interviews, identify environmental conditions requiring further investigation.
•Complete applicable sections of environmental due diligence and be available as a resource to answer site specific questions for reporting purposes.
•Assist with reports and scopes for environmental due diligence assessments
•Preparation and technical review of written reports.
•Maintain regular communication with existing Client base.
•Provide technical support to all TRC Practices as needed.
•Bachelor's Degree in environmental related field (Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology. etc)
•0-3 years of experience in environmental due diligence consulting
•Motivation and willingness to learn new disciplines
•Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to work in various settings and climates
•This classification requires travel to various client locations. Travel typically involves day trips within the state or neighboring states, resulting in longer work days; and may include extended and/or further travel, resulting in multiple days and overnights.
•1-3 years of experience in environmental due diligence consulting or industrial hygiene experience
•AHERA Certified Building Inspector, Management Planner, and Project Designer.
•USEPA Lead Inspector/Assessor .
•ACAC Certified Microbial Consultant, Certified Microbial Investigator, and/or Certified Indoor Environmentalist.
