Sirius Technical Services is hiring for a local Engineering firm to fill an opportunity. The position is for a Process Engineer who has passed the FE, and working towards a PE. This position will be located in Mobile, Alabama with some traveling to job sites as needed. Please contact me if you are interested in more info!

Responsibilities:
• Process Design Experience
• Industrial experience –working in Chemical, Refinery or Pulp & Paper plants.
• Software expectations include experience with Chempak, Chemcad, Fathom and Arrow are preferred.
• Relief Valve Calculation & Reporting experience
• Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is preferred.
• Aspen experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of P&ID’s, PFD’s, Equipment Data Sheet, and Instrument Data Sheets.
• Good writing and verbal skills. Engineer will be attending Project and Departmental meetings.
• Responsibilities also include developing and present proposals, developing schedules, budgets, and be engaged in project weekly reporting as needed

Qualifications:
• Degree in Chemical Engineering from an Accredited College or University
• 5-10 years of experience in Industrial Process Engineering
• Professional Engineering License or desire to obtain a PE
• NCEES.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to use the entire body, more often hands and arms, in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials and equipment.
• Ability to climb ladders or perform duties utilizing a safety harness while working at elevated heights.
• Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs while carrying equipment.
• Ability to perform work outdoors or in process units in hot or cold climates.
• Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment such as a fire-retardant jumpsuit, safety glasses, ear plugs and hard hat.
