Sirius Technical Services is currently seeking a Business Development Manager for a Direct Hire, Full Time position in the Mobile, AL area.

SUMMARY OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER ROLE:
The Business Development Manager will have the key responsibility to develop and foster customer and industry relationships for the Company. The Business Development Manager will work closely with customers to become a part of the decision making process, and acts as a strategic partner for developing long-term relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER:
• Responsible for keeping the company CRM current each week with contacts and opportunities updates.
• Initiate the communication with branch and regional operations managers regarding customer’s activities and opportunities. Provide weekly updates to branch and regional operational managers.
• Determine the critical key relationships within the Client organizations to develop and maintain for the benefit of client.
• Continually monitor project timing to ensure a consistent flow of opportunities for the company. Communicate any findings to OPS or the project managers as needed.
• Ensure that customers are being communicated to in a timely and effective manner.
• Develop a working relationship with the Branch and Construction Managers to ensure the project and program needs are clearly defined.
• Identify and participate in industry associations to network and maintain the established brand.
• Develops a clear understanding of the customer’s organizational structure, trends, decision-making processes and developments and/or initiatives.
• Creates a detailed account action plan, develops a competitive analysis, establishes project timelines and forecasts estimated revenue.
• Discovers and secures opportunities with assigned customers.
• Schedules review meetings with customers to communicate progress, discuss requirements and enhance relationships. Works in conjunction with OPS and PM to ensure full participation as needed in scheduled meetings.
• Prioritizes customer accounts based on perceived revenue growth and product mix. Sets objectives accordingly.
• Under the direction of the Director of Business Development, develops, grows and maintains strategic customer account plans to meet or exceed annual sales objectives.
• Manages internal/external risks and liabilities with respect to customer accounts.
• Identifies trends and growth opportunities for existing and new lines of business.
• Coordinates with internal stakeholders responsible for establishing profit margins.
• Completes and submits weekly progress reports to the Director of Business Development.
• Acts in a manner consistent with core values and according to Code of Business Conduct and Ethical Behavior.
• Complies with standards and procedures of the Health & Safety Manual and Occupational Health & Safety Regulations.

QUALIFCATIONS FOR THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER:
• 10+ years’ industry experience and/or 5+ years’ sales experience.
• Completion of post-secondary education in Business or a related field preferred but not required.
• Industrial manufacturing industry experience preferred, with emphasis on electric and controls.
• The ability to develop customer and internal relationships based on honesty and mutual respect.
• Proven ability to examine key drivers for customer decision-making process and align them with company services.
• Driven, self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience confidently delivering presentations.
• Proven ability to negotiate and reach a mutually beneficial agreement.
• Ability to act independently as well as part of a team.
• Actively pursues professional development opportunities.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
• Must be willing to submit to pre-employment, random, post-accident and for-cause drug testing, as well as any other drug testing required by our clients and statutory regulations.
• Appropriate business attire must be worn at all times.
• Must possess a valid US driver’s license.
