Subject: Hiring Electrical Foreman
Contract / Temp to Direct / Direct Hire: Temp to Direct

Job Summary
The Electrical Foreman is responsible for overseeing the work done by the electricians and ensuring that they perform their duties properly. An Electrical Foreman is also responsible for maintaining a proper record of the tasks done at the site and the methods used to achieve goals and objectives so that these records can be referred to in the future when similar problems are faced or goals are to be achieved. He/she is responsible for planning, supervising, and performing all phases of installation, maintenance, repair and inspection of electrical systems.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
o Install conduit and cabling above and below ground
o Pull/terminate aluminum direct bury cable and medium voltage cable (not required but preferred)
o Read/interpret blueprint drawings to determine methods, materials, and equipment
o Connect/support DC wire
o Install electrical enclosures
o Terminate low and medium voltage (not required u preferred) lines professionally and supervise others
o Supervise the work of electrical activities
o Receive and coordinate stating of electrical BOS materials
o Perform electrical and pre-functional testing and commissioning
o Follow safety rules and notify supervision or others when a safety hazard is observed
Minimum Requirements
o High School Graduate or GED with minimum of 5 years electrical experience
o Current and good standing Journeyman license preferred
o General knowledge of construction industry standards/processes required
o Experience in wire pulling practices and offloading/setting electrical equipment
o Must have basic electrical hand tools
o Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies (provided or procured for use on the project)
o Proven commitment to safety and teamwork
o Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
o Self-motivated with the ability to work well with others
o Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
o Ability to supervise multiple operations going on simultaneously
o Valid government Issued Driverís License and reliable transportation to and from work
o Knowledgeable at Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
o Eligible to work in the US, pass a criminal/civil background check, drug screen and motor vehicle records search
