Austin Industrial is a merit shop, employee-owned company and has been a provider of construction, maintenance, plant services, turnaround and specialty services to the oil, gas and chemical, energy (power and ethanol), and manufacturing industries.
We are currently seeking an experienced MECHANICAL PLANNER for a Fall shutdown at our International Paper Customer site in Oglethorpe, GA.
Minimum of 3 years of Mechanical Planning experience in the industrial plant maintenance industry
Expert knowledge of SAP
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
Per Diem: $85/day (ONLY paid for days worked). Must live 50 miles or further from plant site to collect Per Diem
Start Date: 9/9/19
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Understand and comply with all Austin/Client safety policies and procedures
Utilize and participate in Austins Accident Prevention Program including audits
Participate in daily/weekly safety meetings
Ensure that QA/QC related requirements are incorporated into the project schedule
Confirm that schedule forecasts have incorporated any QA/QC related issues that affect project progress
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan a maintenance schedule and follow schedule
Coordinate different groups (over the entire site)
Be the liaison between 2 Austin groups and other contractor groups
Track daily progress
Provide schedule input for daily progress report
Provide schedule input for project forecast
Provide electronic schedule status reporting to client daily
Provide information to the client which is required for the client to track cost info
Able to write reports and business correspondence
Able to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and clients/customer
