*Your role as an industrial equipment driver/operator working at the Flint Hills Refinery in Rosemount, MN includes, vacuuming, transportation and disposal of industrial water and oil. Multiple types of equipment can be utilized on any given day, including a variety of vacuum trucks, air movers, hydro-excavating units as well as hydroblasting equipment.
Principal Responsibilities *
Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy
Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time
Adheres to safety procedures in accordance with training guidelines
Completes all appropriate paperwork
Ability to work well independently as well as being a team-player
Ability to read and understand maps, road signs, DOT hazardous materials markings and labeling identifications
Maintains cleanliness of company vehicle
Interacts and professionally converses with external/internal customers
Participate in HydroChemPSC’s training and improvement programs
Available to work 4 - 10 hour days, Monday – Thursday (7am – 5:30pm). Overtime is available
Adheres to a drug free work environment, which includes random drug testing
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner

Two years of prior experience driving heavy commercial trucks
Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License
Must possess a TWIC card or be able to obtain within 30 days
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug testing throughout employment
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Have a valid work permit or Social Security Number
Willing to work a scheduled yet occasional night or weekend shift
Willingness to work in all types of weather (four seasons)
Ability to bend, stretch and lift 50 lbs safely

The driver / operator role is an ideal fit for candidates with a background in vacuum trucks, hydro excavators like vactor, sewer jetters or operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, scrapers, excavators, bulldozers, road graders, dump trucks, garbage trucks, skid steers, and forklifts. It is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a mechanical and technical aptitude and has experience or interest in working within an oil refinery.
