Superintendent AND Foreman/Leadman – Sprinkler Systems
We are hiring for two separate positions, both Superintendent & Foreman Positions.
A leading Fire Protection company in the Phoenix area is looking for a Foreman/Leadman for Direct Hire. They have 20+ years of experience doing work in the Phoenix area as well as 28 other states. This role will have roughly 75% travel work and 25% local work.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
The Field Installation Foreman is responsible for all aspects of daily physical on-site installation activities for the projects to which they are assigned. Foremen are expected to work independently while interacting with general contractor representatives, municipal inspectors, and keeping Supervision apprised of progress and significant events on the job site. Foremen should have excellent communication skills that fosters managing others in a respectful and motivating way. Foremen will have significant field experience in the Fire Sprinkler industry with a demonstration of completing projects efficiently and safely.
•Pre-Construction Planning with appropriate supervision.
•Read and interpret design plans for installation.
•Prepare sequencing plans for site installation activities in conjunction with onsite contractor representative and in conjunction with bid expectations.
•Supervise installation crews, and work alongside team to exemplify positive work ethic.
•Organize, layout, and execute fire sprinkler installations.
•Ensure proper reporting and tracking of time for each crew member.
•Coordination, scheduling, delivery, safe protection and removal of all rental equipment required for projects to which they are assigned
•Daily work progress reporting, planning and coordination.
•Provide task specific training to crew members as needed
•Review progress against overall operating budget, and update supervisors with expected deviations for improved or degraded performance.
•Assist supervisor in the collection of detailed data supporting required scope changes.
•Collecting and organizing any required documentation, spare parts, or as-built information.
•Willing to travel once a month for up to two weeks at a time
•High School Diploma or GED
•Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a fire sprinkler foreman in new construction.
•Current Driver’s license with clean driving record
•NICET certified, or equivalent demonstrated experience and course work.
•Out of state work certifications are not required but are preferred
•Ability to perform gender appropriate drug screenings
•Ability to remain professional under stressful situations, and a healthy sense of humor
•Demonstrated ability to follow direction from project leadership
•Demonstrated organizational skills
