5 years of capital project construction management experience, in an operating plant environment.
Experience in food grade facilities, enlisting sanitary designs.
Experience with project management/scheduling.
Experience with spreadsheet and word processing software.
Experience with construction practices and principles.
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees construction activities and ensures the project goals and objectives are met within given timelines, while maintaining a safe job site utilizing OSHA standards and plant rules.
Responsible for the on-site safety of all contractor personnel and insuring they are properly trained and competent in the area of hazard recognition.
Assists in the documentation, investigation, and development of action items for contractor personnel serious incidents, including injuries, near misses, non-injury contacts, and property damage.
Oversees material and equipment procurement and coordination, and small system civil, structural, mechanical designs for “field engineered” solutions.
Assists in the development and review of construction bid packages for multiple disciplines including: pipe, civil, structural, mechanical, architectural, and insulation.
Schedules and coordinates work with production and maintenance personnel to minimize interruptions to plant operations.
Field supervision of construction work; ensures compliance with ADM’s drawings and specifications, and good construction practices. Inspects construction work quality and reports findings back to Project Manager.
Participates in weekly construction coordination meetings to: communicate plant events that affect construction work, reinforce various plant policies, and set work schedules for the upcoming weekend and the following week.
Monitors resources and materials needed between construction and plant maintenance
